I’ve always been fascinated by nature and the ever changing shape and colours formed by the combination of the land, sky and sea, particularly those produced from the morning and evening light.

Colour and texture are at the heart of my paintings. Acrylic, oil and charcoal are my media. Palette knife marks create the texture and numerous layers of paint overlap to add depth.

My approach combines painting from memory, sketches and photographs. My technique is energetic and intuitive. There’s often a spontaneous reaction - or an impression of spontaneity.
